Otomi fabric is handmade by Otomi Indians of Hidalgo, Mexico. The Otomi patterns (which are hand-embroidered in the traditional fabrics and printed in the manufactured facsimiles) are said to come from the ancient cliff drawings of the region. We love the bright colors and bold geometries of Otomi fabrics and would welcome such a lively print to the tabletop in our otherwise plain-Jane dining room: More
Say you're going to have a dinner party and you're using tumblers instead of stemware. Well, this simple balloon trick makes your average cup look like high-end dipped glassware. Want to see how it works? More
What do you think of gold flatware? I never gave it much thought until recently, when it suddenly struck me how warm and beautiful it looks, especially when paired with a simple table setting. More
Item: Cuppow
Price: $7.99, plus shipping
Overall Impression: The Cuppow can be used with any standard canning jar to create a good-looking, sturdy and affordable travel mug.
The first time I saw the Cuppow, I thought it was one of the smartest ideas I'd seen in awhile. Canning jars make good everyday glasses, but they aren't the best for on-the-go drinking, especially with hot drinks. Enter the Cuppow, a BPA-free lid that works with the standard canning ring to transform any wide mouth or regular mouth jar into a commuter mug. With all my anticipation, I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype, but I was pleased to find that there is even more to like about this lid than I originally thought. More
Q: I've been searching for some baroque-looking plastic cutlery, and am coming up empty handed! I'm looking for something similar to the images below in clear or black, and I'm in need of large quantities. More
Q: I have a reached a dead end in finding cute, durable, mostly crack-resistant dinnerware to add to my wedding registry. I'd like dishes that are not super heavy or annoying to wash, and I would love something with a little character, like polka dots or a print. Anyone have suggestions?

My family is firmly in the 99% (and probably the lower half of 99% at that) and yet there is a set of china and sliver that has been passed down a few generations that will one day come to me. I'm lucky because I think the china pattern is pretty and I love the silver pattern. But this is not always the case.
Mason jars have officially hit the point of indie culture saturation. Latest exhibit? An admittedly rather classy idea: The Mason jar cocktail shaker. Even as you roll your eyes you're clicking through to find out how to get one. Aren't you? Yes you are. More
Chevron may come and go, but polka dots (and other dot designs) will never go out of style. They're timeless—simultaneously sweet and classic, yet still cool and modern-looking when done right. I'm rediscovering my love for dots, and today's finds may convert me fully. Don't you just love that red polka dot linen tablecloth? Or the gold dotted bowl? So fun and frisky. I'm sold.
