I discovered these unassuming almonds one day while shopping at the drugstore. Sweetened almonds are usually jam packed with sugar in the form of a hard candy coating and are not an ideal snack food (delicious yes, but just try limiting yourself to the serving size - not easy!). These so-called natural chocolate dusted almonds looked different. And they are! Totally snack friendly.
Can you believe there was a time when our work day was over at 3:00? When we got to go home, have a snack, and then...play?! Boy, those were some good times. What did you usually have for an afternoon snack back then?

This Daily Find is very simple: I am totally hooked on this stuff. Creamy, all-natural almond butter, a little runny and a little chunky — dotted with crisp and crunchy flax seeds. It's a little sweet, salty, and creamy. Love it — I eat spoonfuls straight out of the jar as a post-workout snack.

On the CNN Eatocracy blog, he reveals which wines to pair with doughnuts, Slim Jim's — even Spaghetti-O's!
Sometimes I find it tricky to coordinate my work-out with my stomach. I don't want to go on a run while I'm starving, but neither do I want a full belly. I've tried everything from granola bars to bananas over the years, with varying degrees of success. What, and when, do you eat before a work out?
Granola bars are quite possibly the perfect snack. Compact, portable, satisfying: exactly what we need when we're stuck in traffic or off to the gym. Given the fact that entire aisles of grocery stores are dedicated to this snack food, is it even worth making granola bars yourself?
Among the plump cherries and chocolate-dipped apricots at the C.J. Olson fruit stand, I stumbled upon what may just be my new best friend this summer: applewood-smoked almonds. Have you ever had nuts like these?
This is one of the quickest snacks around. And with such a high tastiness to ease ratio, there's really no reason you shouldn't give this recipe a shot. In a pinch — albeit a desperate one — I've even called this dinner.
