This cafe au lait bowl seems to be an antique - it's from Belgium and the seller says it predates 1900. We just like its gentle vintage look - we have lots of mismatched bowls around the kitchen for cafe au lait and evening soup. One more vintage bowl with its own story and history is always tempting. The question of why a flour sifter would ever need to be electric boggles our minds. Efficiency? Time savings? Finer flour? These don't add up. Tupperware is the deal of the week on Craig's List. From what we've read in the listings, it looks like a Tupperware sales person from the Upper West Side quit and is selling off excess inventory.

This vintage modern teak ice bucket may be a little on the pricey side - $79 - but it's oh so sleek and coolly modern that we couldn't pass it up.
