Red is a strong color; a little goes a long way. It's also a popular color in the kitchen. It's the color of flame, of tomatoes, of ripe fruit. We see red in kitchen tools and tableware all the time -- and now we're going to look at some kitchens that make great use of this powerful color. Some use it sparingly, to liven up a monchromatic color scheme. Others go all out, with whole walls of crimson cabinets!
Come look, and tell us: do you have red in your kitchen? More
White might be the most popular color choice in kitchens. It speaks of clean, of modern, of bright light. It recedes and lets the food take center stage, and it's also extremely versatile: a white kitchen can be modern, retro, contemporary, or traditional. And even though white isn't even officially a color, the predominance of colorlessness doesn't have to mean a sterile or boring kitchen.
Here's a look at some of our favorite white kitchens from across Apartment Therapy. There's a wide range of styles, and there are some inspiring splashes of color that show how you can dress up an otherwise plain white kitchen.
Kitchen tours are one of our favorite things, here at The Kitchn. It's a privilege to peek into another cook's kitchen and to see how they set up their space and what sorts of things they like to cook with. We find so much inspiration in these tours; from small to large, beautiful to plain, professional to new chef, they all give us good ideas and encouragement to make our own spaces as functional as possible.

House Tours have long been a popular series on Apartment Therapy, and although The Kitchn doesn't have quite as many Kitchen Tours, the ones we do have have been incredibly inspirational and helpful to me and our readers. They're packed full of ideas on using space wisely, and bringing warmth and spirit into the home through cooking.
Today I wanted to highlight a few of my favorites and invite you to send in your own ideas for Kitchen Tours. More
