It sounds completely counterintuitive that a razor-sharp knife would actually cause fewer injuries in the kitchen, doesn't it? An interview with a butcher in a recent Gourmet Live article reveals how this is so. More
My fiancé is a huge Star Wars fan, so naturally the first off-registry gift we received was a set of Star Wars themed spatulas from Williams-Sonoma. I was initially skeptical of spatulas in the shape of Darth Vader and his stormtrooper minion, but to my surprise, these are actually excellent kitchen tools. More

I have a lot of spatulas in my kitchen, but the ones I reach for over and over are the ones that can most effectively scrape out my mixer bowl. Chef'n has a new spatula designed specifically for the curve of a stand mixer bowl, and it gets rave reviews at Williams-Sonoma. Remember Borough Furnace? We showed you these modern, gorgeous cast iron skillets last year. I cook at home every day and I love vegetables. So that means that I spend a lot of time with my cutting board. While my board works well as a cutting board it's rather large and bulky, and it only gets used to chop things and then sits back in the corner by itself. I wish it did more than just provide a safe place to mince, dice and chop. Maybe if it doubled as something else I'd find more appreciation for it. Here are five boards cute enough to show off all the time, not just when you have a knife in hand. More
My husband and I finally went out and purchased a grill. We bought a gas-fueled one for the convenience. It's basic and will probably do the job just fine, but I can't help thinking of the more exciting possibilities out there: More
