All week we're sharing Asian food recipes and inspiration here at The Kitchn. Here are some refreshing drinks to sip alongside your East, South, and Southeast Asian meals – or just to cool down on a hot summer day. More
Do you love bubble tea? Personally, I can't walk past a bubble tea shop without suddenly craving one of their sweet ice-cold beverages dotted with chewy boba tapioca pearls. It's the most thirst-quenching snack I can think of! Fortunately for my addiction, bubble tea is super easy to make at home. More
Five o'clock friends aren't as much the norm these days as they were perhaps in our parents' or even grandparents' time. I think most people remember what their parents or grandparents drank (or still drink), and for food and drink freaks like us, these memories are precious and held dear to our hearts. There are quite a few drinks that made their way into my bar diaries (this is the book I scribble down notes, recipes, and memories of drinks I've had, loved or hated and the memories swirling around them), ranging from hot coffee on the beach to my mom's Manhattan. All right people, we're in the thick of summer, so it's time to belly up to the bar for some ice cold sangria. Please don't go to that bad place in your mind of sickly sweet concoctions and hangovers so horrible that you'll swear off the stuff. Great sangria can be refreshing and it's perfect for a summer party. More

Wildwood, New Jersey is famous or infamous for lots of things — their amazing boardwalk that includes amusement parks and a chapel, the song "Wildwood Days" by Bobby Rydell, mile-long beaches, an unflattering appearance on the TV show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and a damn good drink called the Lime Rickey. For this week's 10-Minute Happy Hour we'll be toasting long days at the beach, or as we say on the east coast, the shore, with the adult version of this beverage, better known as the Gin Rickey. More
Have you ever sipped a shrub? Not a bush, but a fruit syrup, preserved with vinegar and mixed with water or alcohol to make a tangy, refreshing beverage. An old-fashioned favorite, shrubs have steadily made a comeback, especially on cocktail menus, but they aren't solely the province of mixologists. Making a shrub syrup at home is a fun way to preserve and play with seasonal fruit, and this template may be followed for practically any fruit you have on hand. In addition to drinks, you can use the brightly flavored syrup in salad dressings, as a glaze for meats, or add a splash to homemade jam. More
