When the craving for a mini dessert strikes, you can't go wrong with a microwave mug cake. But what if you want to serve a crowd? That's where this large-format banana cake comes in. Believe it or not, it cooks in your microwave in six minutes.

All the magic for this recipe happens in a one-liter microwave-safe dish. You first melt butter in the dish in the microwave, then mix in mashed banana, sugar, self-raising flour, cinnamon, eggs, milk, and chocolate chunks. Then all you have to do is cook the cake on high for six minutes in your microwave!

The author suggests serving the cake with a dusting of powdered sugar, a drizzle of salted caramel sauce, and a scoop of ice cream — who am I to argue with her?
