Cabbage, Potato, Squash: Gorgeous Prints for the Kitchen

Cabbage, corn, potatoes. Vivid lines, rich colors. We are completely smitten by these prints, which are printed by Brooklyn artist Sofia Whiddon from her own original cut paper designs.

Sofia says:

After living in our Midwood apartment for 2 and a half years, I was commissioned by my chef husband to decorate our bare kitchen walls. I was inspired by detailed scientific drawings of plant life as well as vintage fruit crate stamps. I've been wanting to explore cut paper techniques for awhile so this seemed the perfect opportunity. Even after our kitchen artwork was finished, my love for cut paper designs stayed strong! I wanted to continue this process and it's grown into what's now on my etsy page.

These remind us of the best of David Goines' work, and of old woodcuts. They are so beautiful — thank you for sending them along, Sofia!

You can find her designs at her Etsy shop, Sia Designs.
