Lodge is finally getting in the color game! It’s been a while since we perused the Lodge Cookware website and were excited to find several new (to us) colors on a recent visit.
We really like the bright and bold color palate they’re playing off of here. The primary colors feel inviting and playful. We particularly like the Apple Green color on the L-Series dutch oven and the gradated Island Spice Red on their traditional oven.
They do carry a few earthier colors. The Café Brown and Emerald Green are great choices for a more rustic look.
We hope to see more great colors like these from Lodge!
• Lodge L Series 6-qt Dutch Oven in Apple Green, $97.99 from Lodge
• Lodge 7.5-qt Enamel Dutch Oven in Caribbean Blue, $93.95 from Lodge
• Lodge 6-qt Enamel Dutch Oven in Island Spice Red or Café Brown, $72.95 from Lodge

i just bought a green Lodge enamel dutch oven - it's awesome! really heavy though. i can't wait to start making all sorts of delicious stuff in there :)
If anyone is traveling in the SE Tennessee area, Lodge has a nice store in their home town, South Pittsburg, TN. I-24 @ Exit One-Fifty-Something...
I bought my Red Lodge 6 quart Dutch Oven at Walmart for $54.95 after Amazon put it on back order for 3 weeks. Now if I can just get the motivation to break it in before it's Christmas Gumbo time.
I got the red Lodge 6 quart on Amazon a little over a year ago and we use it so much! It's great for soups, stews, risotto, gratins. I highly recommend it!
I wonder how their plastic lid handles hold up in the oven? Heh :D
Oh I'm so envious of the new colors! I have a blue Lodge dutch oven, and I will say that the actual blue of the dutch oven is much nicer than the one in pictures. It isn't such a bold primary color, its a bit softer. Its really lovely (but the apple green and brown are SO great!)
I have the red 6qt dutch oven and it's great! I ordered the replacement knobs for the LeCreuset DO's off of Amazon to replace the non-oven safe knob.
I love my red dutch oven but I kinda wish Target had had the blue one in stock!
These are gorgeous! I have to wonder about durability, though. I have a lodge enameled cast iron grill pan in bright red that I love, but within a month a giant piece of the enamel chipped off (larger than a quarter). I have no idea how this happened; I certainly didn't drop the pan or anything. Still, these prices are too tempting ...
I have one. The plastic lid handle cracked in the oven the first time I used it. It still works fine, it never came off completely. Otherwise it is a good quality dutch oven for a reasonable price.
I love Lodge because I can get it at the Hardware Store. I have used mine a bunch (mostly for stovetop stews) and nothing has broken yet, but will get a different knob if I use it in the oven. My Lodge cast iron pans are rock stars.
I got the dutch oven, skillet, and grill pan in blue - love them (although the grill pan is a pain to clean!) The knob on the dutch oven is just fine in the oven - I had a stew in there for a few hours and there is no damage.
I just read on Lodge's website that the knobs are oven safe up to 400 degrees.
The enamel one is Made in China, I personally don't buy anything Made in china esp if its food related.
I do have the Cast iron one though, thats made in the USA.
As ssmith mentions, the Lodge Enamel stuff is out of China - a definite negative for me. I'll stick with Le Creuset or or Emile Henry lines.
The stock Lodge cast is awesome though - and made in the USA.
I LOVE my red Lodge Dutch oven. The plastic handle does just fine in the oven, and the dutch oven itself has held up well so far (though it's only a year old).
