When Brice and Ilene needed an apartment in Chicago (even though they live in St. Louis full time), they knew they could go minimal for their pied-á-terre. Until it came to the kitchen that is. Thankfully, when they found this apartment, the rest of the space could do with a coat or two of paint, and they could really focus on updating the kitchen to their liking.
The couple stuck to a specific color palette of black, white, gray, and yellow and carried it through the entire space. From the tile backsplash to the curtains, and the artwork to the coffee canister, Brice and Ilene paid great attention to the details.
As with the rest of the apartment, they stuck to a midcentury modern theme. Their inspiration? The decor they remember from their childhoods. We can think of no better way to decorate a second apartment!
