I think brass is such a fine detail in a modern kitchen. In small amounts it adds just the right amount of sophistication without going overboard into glitz. Lately I've been particularly partial to brass cabinet pulls. The following pulls range in price from $5 to $15, and they're a good starting point if you want to try this look out in your own kitchen:

I like it. I'm in the middle of painting my kitchen dark grey and white and I think brass pulls would just POP. Classy time.
I like it too. You don't see much brass hardware in kitchens nowadays. Pinned it!
Although shiny brass still looks a bit '80s to me, I am really liking the look of the brushed brass! Glad to see it's making a comeback.
Beautiful!
I love brass hardware and will definitely outfit my kitchen with it (if I ever get a rental I can afford to upgrade and stay in it long enough to do so).
There are even studies that suggest brass is a superior material for handles anyway, as it doesn't hold onto bacteria as long as stainless steel does - <A HREF="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/9762689/Fit-brass-fixtures-to-cut-superbugs-say-scientists.html">article here, with links to original study publication - and would be healthier especially in hospitals and other public places.
Oh, how I often wish for an edit button. <A HREF="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/9762689/Fit-brass-fixtures-to-cut-superbugs-say-scientists.html">better link?
Okay, the HTML here seems to be borked. C&P, I guess.
Wow, thanks for mentioning our products! We appreciate our brass pulls being recognized - since that's really what we specialize in.
Thanks again from Cliffside!
