Betsy's Wine-Braised Lentils on Crostini
Best Vegetarian Braise
Betsy seemed to really enjoy her braising experience! She says: This weekend we made Wine Braised Lentils, and it was so fun (and tasty) to try something new! The recipe was from Vegetarian Suppers from Deborah Madison's Kitchen, but we found the recipe at Treehugger.com. The lentils and vegetables turned a nice winey red color, and we served them on little baguette slices, like bruschetta. We also put some crumbled goat cheese on top, though that's missing from the photo. I'd definitely recommend this recipe to others.
