Book Journal: Tea Cake Flops

It must've been the brand new Viking oven, because the tea cake I baked last night for today's shot came out mighty strange. Since this is a family site, I won't go too far into detail, but this cake came out looking a little too... feminine. It's meant for a ladies' luncheon, but come on! We'll have to re-do it again.

Yesterday we spent six hours hunting down props - from modern cake stands, to vintage tea cups and saucers. Despite the near-100° F temps, we had a great time. Iced decaf coffees will save me on this trip.
