BlueStar has always been a source for great-looking and professionally-functioning gas ranges. But now they're introducing a new line of appliances aimed at us - the city cook -that are all a mere 24" wide:
BlueStar calls it their City Living Collection and it's a line of "petite" gas appliances including free-standing ranges and built-in wall ovens. Aside from the usual stainless steel finish, you'll find a whole bunch of colorful options.
BlueStar's press release quotes Chef Marcus Samuelsson, award-winning chef and owner of New York City's The Red Rooster Harlem (and spokesperson for BlueStar): "If you're living in the city, chances are your kitchen is small. Having a small kitchen doesn't mean you can't cook meals like a pro. In my view, no other residential range can match the cooking performance of BlueStar. You can put pots and pans on a slow simmer, and sear salmon and chicken breast on the griddle. You can set up a restaurant-like kitchen with this range--now even in a small space."
Sounds pretty fantastic to us. And it's true - some of NYC's chefs go home to small yet extremely hard-working kitchens in their apartments. Check out more at BlueStar.

Red-and-Pink-Stripe...

Adorrrrable.
How much? I can't find a price anywhere.
also agree that they are beautiful! but i don't see the city living collection on their site anywhere. and the build your own does not give you a 24" option.
perhaps this is new enough news that it isn't on their site at all yet?
judging from the prices for their other ranges, i don't see a 24" range being less than $3000. bummer. still beautiful though!
oh my goodness they are so cute! I have a perfectly good gas stove that I love to cook on, but I'm definitely in love with those beautiful colors.
