What challenge have you overcome in your kitchen? The one problem we had was that Miss Kitty decided that under the sink was her bed so it was a constant open and close the door, until I just took out the door and put in a little curtain for her.

What's the story of your kitchen?
This apartment house (with only 3 units)was built in 2000. The first tenant put in the kitchen and sold it to the next tenant and we bought it from them. In Germany even if you rent, the apartment is usually rented without a kitchen(!). I feel really lucky that I think the kitchen layout is just perfect. There are 3 things I look for in a kitchen: 1) sink must look out a window with a view, (check) 2) stove must have room on either side to take things out of the oven or stove and set them down, (check) 3) counters must be able to take things like hot pans off the stove without a problem (check). The absolute treat is the tiny balcony off the kitchen. We feel like it is our own little bistro.
What is your favorite meal to cook here?
We love to make big Sunday brunches, blueberry muffins, egg bake casseroles, home fried potatoes, bacon, pancakes - the works!

I love the sunshine streaming in the kitchen and the glass, outside door. Very nice. I like the large counterspace and big window to glaze out of while you work. Would you like to trade??? Please!

That's quite a kitchen for München! Most apartments I have seen, have teeny tiny kitchens. Thats a good sized kitchen, even for any German apartment! Is that Kitchen Aid made for 240v?
