I bought mine at my local asian store for, like, $2 bucks each. They've lasted years! and I don;t even know if I should keep them for years! And going old school, with cabbage leaves at the bottom of the steamer gives me mucho street cred. lol.
Nice! I have been looking for some, I think I will have to order them online. Thanks for the tips!
Does anyone know the best way to clean a bamboo steamer?
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the smell of the basket when cooking? We have a very large set but I just don't like using them because of this.
snagged mine at the goodwill for $5. Id been steaming my dumplings one batch at a time and this has been a terrific time saver. I agree that you can usu. grab these at a traditional asian market for much less than those better known stores.
