While we didn't mind the red-orange color of the cart before, it definitely needed a lot of TLC, and a fresh coat of paint did was just the trick. Plus, the aqua hue is so bright and cheery that it will definitely add life to whatever room she decides to use it in.
Here's a look at some of the damage that Chaney was battling. A good cleaning and sanding took care of a lot of the problem areas, but the top couldn't be completely smoothed out. The solution?
Use a contrasting placemat as a liner to protect anything you're storing on top. Plus, it's another easy, inexpensive way to incorporate even more color into this project.
