Some people have open racking, some people love their cabinets. Others are fortunate to have a walk in pantry, but they always seem to easy to clutter up. This transformation takes an average pantry from bogged down to beautiful in just a few seconds and can be implemented into your own kitchen, no matter what type of storage space you have!
Now using lazy susans are one of those issues that people are on the fence about. You either love them, hate them, or never really knew how to use them to your best advantage.
In this pantry, they put all the goods that are used frequently at your finger tips and cleared up room for more decorative items. The wheel made a dead corner useful again and by using them on each shelf they even make the pantry more kid friendly.
We love the look and the idea in general so if you'd like to read more about this great makeover, head over to Tater Tots and Jello to see how this transformation came together!

Ooooohhhh! Kneel in awe to the lazy susan!
Great idea.
I use one in my pantry for my oils and vinegars. I was finding myself constantly reaching behind and almost toppling over the various bottles and this helped to solve that problem Love it!
I used to use one in my fridge for condiments but it blocked the light to the lower shelves and the fridge actually seems much more spacious without it. I'd love to find a clear one.
@tasterspoon: maybe you could use the mechanism from one with the frosted glass turntable from an old microwave?
That is super keen! The only change I would make would be to put a little lip on the side of the suzans to prevent those stuff-falling-off mishaps.
Love it! What a great solution.
Love this transformation. Lazy Susans are great storage solutions:
- a great feature on our bamboo utensil holder
- for vitamins & minerals in our kitchen cabinet
- for salt, pepper grinder, sugar, honey & napkin holder on top of fridge
@tasterspoon: great idea!
Oh yes, nicely done!
Fantastic! Why didn't I think of this?? I don't even have that vertical bar to remove in order to implement it. I think a visit to the Container Store is in my future.
Wow, that saves so much room!
