Today's kitchen renovation comes from Harmony Weihs, an interior designer near Seattle. This client's kitchen, while completely workable (with lots of cabinet space) was kind of bland. Plus there was a hallway just outside the kitchen that felt a bit like wasted space. That all changed with the remodel. Take a look at how they took this kitchen from bland to luxurious!
It looks like a completely different kitchen, doesn't it? You can see that the end of the cabinets is where the hallway used to be. By taking out that wall that used to house the fridge, they were able to open up the kitchen and install a large island complete with an additional sink.
In addition to expanding the kitchen, they also modernized it with a creative mix of white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, subway tile in a green color palette, and dark wood on the island and drink station cabinets.
We love how much brighter the kitchen feels, and how much more cooking and counter space it now includes.
