I used to think that tablecloths were outdated and never would have thought about actually using one in my own home. However, my opinions are changing — especially after finding these beautiful tablecloths for entertaining!
Sure tablecloths can be expensive and holiday specific but there are actually quite a few that don't fall in either of those categories. A red tablecloth can be used year round and white is a no-brainer.
Find a tablecloth in a fabric that isn't high maintenance for easy clean up and longevity. That way you won't be upset if someone spills a drink and you won't need to buy a different tablecloth for each holiday or each year.

The best present I got last year was a tablecloth coated in that teflon stuff - our friend's five year old spilled water all over it the first time we used it and the liquid just puddled up! It was awesome!
I lovelovelove tablecloths. One of my favorites was a wedding present to my mother and father in 1944---and I still put it on my table. And my husband likes tablecloths, too; he likes the special touch it brings to a meal, even if the meal is raisin bran.
A tablecloth can set a mood better than flowers or candles, or balloons. I haunt the second-hand stores looking for tablecloths (some of them were probably wedding presents).
PRETTY!
