For those fortunate enough to have a window in your kitchen (something I, alas, am not), curtains are a terrific way to add personality and color. Sunny, citrus colors work particularly well if you're looking for an accent color, but a novelty print—like the hand-printed anchor curtains above—will really get people talking.

I like them all. #1 paint job looks alot like my kitchen but I have such a beautiful view of a tree that I see changing throughout the seasons that no way I'm going to cover it up. So I'm one for leaving it as is but I've always thought maybe a teeny topper might look nice.
I made cafe curtains from these fun Crate & Barrel green apple dishtowels... they look great with a coordinating striped valance made from some home decorator fabric remnants. Love 'em.
