You could make these because they look delicious (and easy). Or, you could follow the advice of Kate from Framed and make these because it's a great way to use up all the little, rolled-up, rubber band-ed bags of nuts, cookie crumbs, and chips you have lying around.
Reason #3: Bananas and chocolate! An irresistible combination.
This is a super simple recipe: slice bananas, dip in chocolate, roll in toppings, freeze. They remind us of Faith's Milk and Honey Peanut Butter Balls—like an after-school snack that's just as pleasing to adults as it is to 10-year-olds.
We think the one rolled in Oreo crumbs is our favorite. What about you?

Yes, please! You can make a pretty healthy snack by using dark chocolate and different nuts. This is great for using up crumbs of stuff but my favorite banana trick, by far, is chocolate banana softserve. You don't need icecream when you can have this stuff everyday! Frozen banana's perfectly mimic softserve icecream. You can find the recipe here:

This sounds like absolutely the perfect recipe for my summertime bbq this weekend!
Tips:
1.Slice your bananas a little thicker than you do for cereal.
2.Freeze the slices laid out in a single layer for 20-30 minutes before coating. While they are freezing, you can crush your cookies, chop nuts, and gather other toppings.
I've done this before, but I had a hard time figuring out how to hold the banana and dip it into melted chocolate. The chocolate was too hot for my fingers, and it seemed to slide right off the frozen banana coins, so I couldn't just dunk in and fish out. Any suggestions?
(They were delicious)
Hi there -- I'm the one who wrote this post, and what I do with the bananas is take two teaspoons and roll the banana slices with one and scoop them out with another. The chocolate cools pretty quickly, so I do end up ditching the spoons and using my fingers before too long. As for the chocolate slipping off the spoon...hmm. It might be something about the brand you are using. Try using the Ghiradelli chips (you can usually find these in any good supermarket) and don't use the oil. Melt them in your microwave in 30 second increments, stirring after each time. That should do the trick. Good luck! These are delicious little babies....

Thanks to Framed for this recipe. I just made a batch of these - they are just delicious - the banana has such a lovely, ice-creamy consistency when frozen. To Splim: I stuck toothpicks in each slice and used that for dipping in the chocolate and nuts. Leave the toothpicks in when freezing and you end up with cute lollypops!
I was so bored today and since I found this recipe ...I have to say it's awesome (hubby said that too!!) I used some sesame cookies, coconuts and almonds...
