Here's one more Canadian Thanksgiving tip for those of you celebrating the holiday this weekend. Dinner rolls baked in jars! What a cute idea to set by each guest's plate...
These are from reader Aimee at Simple Bites: She says:
Give the breadbasket a personalized touch with these cute individual dinner rolls baked in a little jam jar.You don’t even need to set out a bread plate, simply place a warm bun-in-a-jar directly on the table cloth (above the forks is the correct place for bread) and dinner is served.
Sweet! Of course, we are bread fiends (in a family of bread fiends) so there better be a back-up basket of seconds (and thirds), but what a great way to start off the meal and guide guests to their plates.

That is the cutest thing I have seen all week. And I have seen a lot of cute things this week.

I so want to make these for our Thanksgiving dinner this year! My family will go crazy for them!!! Thank you for such a great idea :-)
what's the point? seems like that idea just adds to the already daunting task of cleaning dishes afterwards.
@erinorea: If you substitute the jar for a bread plate, it's not much different and saves on table space too. In my case, I'd put the jars in the dishwasher versus hand-washing the china bread plate... Of course you may be different. :)
But why???
i think that thing is adorable.
i'm declaring myself queen and announcing the baking-things-in-canning-jars craze officially over.
