We don't eat chocolate very often, but when we do, we go all out. Here, from candied bacon fudge to olive oil mousse, and from chocolate cookies that are nutty and dark to ones that are featherweight and chewy, are some of our favorite chocolate recipes from this past year. Chocolate with Nutella, chocolate with Guinness, chocolate with peanut butter — it's all here.

Oh my word!!! I am trawling around the internet looking for something wonderful before heading for sleep and I just found it... Heaven from the Kitchn - what a wonderful post!!!
That malted hot cocoa mix is amazing. Stick a mini candy cane in it, and it is even better. For anybody that likes cocoa and hasn't tried this stuff, do it!
Chocolate whiskey bundt cake - DEFINITELY my favorite chocolate discovery of the year!

Nigella Lawson's cake is always a winner, I have been baking it on special occasions for years and it never fails to impress. It is easy and tastes divine (with a large dollop of double cream)!
...Nigella's Nutella cake that is. Haven't tried the Guinness one yet!
