Blinis, a classic Russian treat, are traditionally topped with sour cream and caviar. This sweet version substitutes poppy seeds for caviar and adds a bit of lemon for a touch of sweet flavor.

They say the sense of smell is the biggest memory trigger, but I have to argue that the sense of taste is right up there. I present you with this evidence: the 1998 Super Bowl, my parent's living room, an over-sized cheese head (yes, a hat constructed of foam cheese) and a bowl of steaming chili, heaped with a generous dusting of sharp Wisconsin cheddar.
The Kitchn of 2010 was bursting with fantastic ideas, tips, recipes, photographs and pretty much anything and everything needed to make your own kitchen a bustling, sweet-smelling place all year round. So when we were asked to round up our favorite posts of the year from both The Kitchn and the rest of the food-related world, it was a terrific feat of willpower to list only ten. Here's my attempt at listing ten inspiring, beautiful and mouth-watering food posts/articles, (although it's certainly not all-inclusive!).
