We have several cutting boards and obviously use them for different reasons. We use a cutting board each and every day and frankly &mdash we don't think it's possible to have too many!

We came across two Ash Wood Cutting Boards and we think they're pretty great. They can be used for many different things and we have recently seen them popping up all over the place.
The great thing about this particular type of cutting board is that they're so darn great looking and can be used as serving trays and dishes. We've seen numerous desserts and even wedding cakes served on top of these &mdash flexibility definitely helps pad the $32 price tag for the one we found at Terrain. They've listed a 12" Ash Wood Cutting Board, and a smaller 8" Board for $18.00.
Each of these cutting boards is made from native Minnesota hardwoods and crafted by a family of woodworkers. Each board has been cured, sanded, and finished with food-grade mineral oil. Another very important feature &mdash the board is moisture-resistant and suited for both cutting and serving.
What do you think of the Ash Wood Cutting Boards?

Very, very pretty. I enjoy that it's just a straight up slab of tree.
Pretty - but I sure hope they are from reclaimed trees not cut live trees :-\
They are beautiful. I prefer nylon cutting boards, tho.
I would serve food on this, but, for actual prep work, I too love those plastic cutting boards you can just toss in the dishwasher and know are "clean."
Nice, but kinda small. Not really meant for prep.
Now, having seen a number of gorgeous cutting boards online and not being inclined to pay for one, I asked my Dad if he would make one for me. Found a beautiful cocobolo board with a burl that looks like some kind of galaxy. Not finished yet, as it lacks feet and finishing, but I cannot wait.
Plastic is good for some things, but there's a joy in working on a beautiful surface.
