Pumpkin soup. Pumpkin blondies. Pumpkin rolls. Pumpkin seed pesto. We get it! It's the season of pumpkin (not to be confused with pumpkin spice) and we're not fighting it. Add this to the list of pumpkin foods we're craving: pumpkin gnocchi!
Felicia from love.life.eat recently wrote about a delicious-sounding pumpkin gnocchi served with blue cheese in a brown butter sage sauce. With this combination of flavors and the subtle orange color, it's the perfect pasta dish for Fall.

Red-and-Pink-Stripe...

Thats a great idea! I must try it. Can we report it on our facebook page of http://italyinabox.co.uk/ ? Probably not a traditional italian recipe, but looks gnammy!
Can this be applied to acorn squash, perhaps??
or for the lazy among us, you can just buy it at Cost Plus World Market, with their pumpkin pasta sauce (and sweet potato gnocchi, too !).
Hey Greta -- I would use butternut squash (over acorn) as well, as that too will give you a deeper, richer flavor. Cheers, Felicia
