At Long Last! The White House Reveals Its Beer Recipes

After all the buzz surrounding the Commander-in-Chief's home-brewed beer, the White House recently revealed the recipes for their Honey Ale and Honey Porter. Assistant Chef Sam Kass writes on the White House blog the kitchen was "surprised that the beer turned out so well since none of us had brewed beer before."

According to the recipe's lead-in on the White House blog, President Obama bought a home brewing kit for the kitchen last Fall, and after some trial and error, the chefs settled on recipes for a White House Honey Brown Ale, a Honey Porter, and most recenlty a Honey Blonde. You can also watch a behind-the-scenes video of the brewing process!
