You can hang your tea towels on bull clips, over-the-cabinet bars, or tucked into the refrigerator door handle. But here's another super simple idea if you have a little bit of free wall space: apply a strip of double-sided tape to the back of wooden clothespins, stick 'em on the wall, and clip your towels in.
We found this project through Dutch blogger Pien. What do you think? Would you try it in your kitchen?

Hi Cambria,
Thank you so much for the compliment! You made my day! This site looks great, I haven't heard of it earlier. I'm going to take a look more often!

I can't really imagine that a piece of double-stick tape would be able to hold up a wet tea towel. Cute, but I think something stronger would be needed for it to really work.
Actually, the double-stick tape that comes with those 3M Command hooks is amazingly strong. I use the hooks to hang some of my kitchen towels, and even one to hang my gym bag in my bedroom--they hold up really well.
Absolutely brilliant idea!
When I was a child I had something like this for mittens. WORKS GREAT!
The best kitchen towel I ever had was a golf towel. It had a grommet in the corner. I used an extra shower curtain hanger to clip it to my refrigerator handle. Towel was alway in the same place, able to dry because it wasn't folded over on itself.
I tuck the end of the towel inside a small counter drawer I don't use all the time. For lighter towels, the drawer being shut is enough to hold it in place, but I often set something inside the drawer on top of the towel just in case. It's at the right height and easy. I got irritated with hanging them on the oven door (fall on the floor all the time) and didn't like the look or location of hanging it on the fridge drawer.
This makes it also easy to adjust for towel length, tuck more or less into the drawer depending on length.
I love this idea! It's actually something very similar we did in our own home, but in the entry hallway. I think it would work great in the kitchen as well, and might offer a bit more support than double stick tape. Check it out: http://somethingwewhippedup.com/2013/02/13/the-2-dollar-mitten-manager/
I love the look of the clothespins though. So adorable!
I do this in the garage with my car-wash rags (my window rag, my doorframe rag, my wax rag, etc). I Gorilla-Glue'd them, but same idea. Keeps them off the dirty floor and organized so I can use them for a couple of car washes before I have to wash them.
Great idea! My kitchen towels are always sliding off the handle to the oven door, and it drives me nuts! I will definitely have to try this! Lauren @MomHomeGuide
This is a great idea! So much better than trying to hang it over a handle, and it inevitably falling down, etc! Loved it so much, I shared it on the Keeble Outlets facebook page, etc! Thanks for all the great posts on this blog....such great stuff!
