To reach Rutger Hopster's South London attic flat, you have to walk up a winding Georgian staircase. Once at the top, you'll walk into a home Rutger says is "too small, too shabby and too packed with antiques to be of interest." But we beg to differ. Much like the rest of the apartment, the kitchen features the same sloping ceilings and odd angles, but it still has a lot of light due to a large window over the sink.
A dining table with some of Rutger's antique silver (he collects it) divides the kitchen, while a washer/dryer makes its home underneath one of the long butcher block counters.
