Amber painted her kitchen amber!
i like the hockney styled pics.
I like those gigantic letters and numbers. Where are those from or are they handpainted?
Christy, it's actually one piece, printed on sticky-back vinyl on a wide-format printer. I just designed the piece in Illustrator and printed it out.
Very clever. Do you know where the non-new yorker masses can get some of that stuff?
Well, I'm not in New York, I'm in Norfolk, VA. I'm lucky enough that we have a wide-format printer and some scraps of it at my work... so I didn't have to shell out any $. But I know for a fact that Kinkos will do vinyl window stickers (same thing). A lot of signmakers do this kind of thing too, so support the little guy if you can and get it from one of the family-owned joints. They will probably want an .eps file (from Illustrator or Freehand), or a really hi-res .tif file. But talk to the vendor you choose and they'll tell you what they need.
I wouldn't have picked the yellow myself...but it looks FAB! Congratulations.
P.S. Try www.wallwords.com for terrific lettering made from truck lettering that comes off without leaving any marks and is available is many fonts...it looks like handpainted. Prices are reasonable too.
very very cool, love the white as a accent now! makes the sink art pop!
i think yellows the new orange
mod on.
I'd like to see the colour in daylight. Yellow can be tricky that way.
I just painted my son's bedroom the exact same color! Weird. But it looks great in her kitchen too.
Paolo, the color on that right wall is VERY accurate. I'm convinced I found the perfect golden-yellow. Hah.
