You see the multi-colored kitchen wall in the photo above? You'll never believe what it's made out of. Care to take a guess?

The answer is... BREAD TABS!
Philadelphia/NewYork interior design firm Design Nehez incorporated this art installation into their redesign of a colorful mid-century-inspired kitchen in Philadelphia. So, so clever.

love it!
I totally save these and everyone makes fun of me for it (lots of tortilla or bread packages come with those lame sticker ties that do nothing!)
wow. i love this. absolute genius. way better than "kitchen art" that says "EAT" or "FOOD". amazing, abstract, and beautiful.
Although I do like the randomness of the arrangement, the colors are a code for freshness with each representing a different day. It might be possible to create a calendar effect with them too.
This is so cool. Thanks for posting it!
So cool!
Very cool idea indeed, and if I'm not mistaken, it looks like light can filter through the opaque white panels that the bread tabs are mounted to. I wonder if there is a clear panel over the ties to help make it easier to clean, to create a sandwich and then framed up as you see here.
Either way, I like it, or the general idea of it anyway as an accent wall.
However, I love the entire kitchen and it does have that MCM inspired feel to it and love the red underside of the vent hood to match the island.
LOVE it...My daughter collects them, the rare ones are valuable in our house! Guess we should make some art!
Love the bar stools. Any idea where I can find them??
Whenever I see a kitchen that has a large EAT as part of the decor, I comment that they forgot the ME.
MST3K is always relevant. :)
Very cool! :)
