Almond Butter with Roasted Flax Seeds from Trader Joe's
• $4.99 to $7.49
• Trader Joe's
This Daily Find is very simple: I am totally hooked on this stuff. Creamy, all-natural almond butter, a little runny and a little chunky — dotted with crisp and crunchy flax seeds. It's a little sweet, salty, and creamy. Love it — I eat spoonfuls straight out of the jar as a post-workout snack.

Yep. Love this. Obsessed too...
Yes, I'm obsessed too. Except it's only $4.99 in NYC. Very happy about that.
Delicious. Big fan. I've been using it in paneer makhani for added creaminess that's healthier than heavy cream. Or so I'm assuming until someone tells me otherwise.
Make your own nut butters. You choose what goes in, including spices, and it makes great gifts. The Cuisinart makes it as smooth or chinky as you want it, and no stirring is necessary. My current favorite includes roasted salted cashews, honey, Saigon cinnamon and walnut oil.
... and it literally takes 5-10 minutes to make, depending on how long it takes you to get out the ingredients and choose spices.
I LOVE this stuff! Here in Canada, we don't have Trader Joe's. My partner brought a jar of this and I am def. hooked. I stock up every time I go to the U.S!
Hmm... the only problem is that you don't get ANY of the flaxseed's goodness, since it's not ground, and our bodies can't break down the whole seed. It's so annoying that people/manufacturers don't realize this!
(my husband's family are flax farmers)
I grew up in CA, very close to the original TJ's. Now, I live in Colorado and there aren't any here. So so sad :(

Hmm, I bought a container of this and thought it had an odd flavor. I'm going back to my regular nut butter after it's gone.
here in Boston our Trader Joe's have been out of stock of this for months, sniff - right after I got good and addicted to it. Perfect on a whole grain English muffin topped with shredded coconut.
I haven't had the almond, but the roasted flax peanut butter is the greatest PB I have EVER tasted. I live in Canada, but have pals who make regular TJ's runs to Bellingham. I always make them bring me some, so I have a dependable cupboard stock of it.
@midwesternbelle In this case, the flax is more about texture than nutritional benefits. The additional super-crunch that it adds is incredible.
I've only just discovered this stuff and IT IS MY DRUG. Obsessed. Have it on toast with either jam or honey every weekday morning. Loooove it.
