Alan's Hollywood Hills home is a dream: fantastic view, an office with a fireplace, a speakeasy (yes!), and a newly remodeled kitchen with an oh-so-pretty blue backslash. See more photos below:
As part of the remodel, Alan took out the wall between the kitchen and the living room to open it up the living space. Wondering about the source of those colorful framed prints? They're actually vintage teaching aids from Uncommon Objects in Austin, Texas that Alan framed himself. "They were so beautiful," he said. "They're double sided which made me a little sad to have to lose a side!"

This is so lovely. Never thought to paint those flat doors a bold color like that, nice touch. And after reading through and looking at the house tour I want to have a beer with Alan and fall asleep in front of that fireplace that made me vomit in appreciation (before the beer, of course).
