Did you eat graham crackers with peanut butter when you were a kid? We did. (Of course, you won't find peanut butter anywhere near a preschool these days...) This is a grown-up version that satisfies our sweet tooth but has a nice kick of tangy, unsweetened yogurt.
This is a very filling snack; in fact, we've eaten it for breakfast and stayed full for hours. It's got protein, calcium, and crunch — yum.
We put a few spoonfuls of peanut butter in the microwave first, so that it gets soft and swirlable. Then we stir it into some plain yogurt (the thick, greek-style stuff), drizzle on some honey, and add a crumbled graham cracker.
Then we lie down on our mats and take a nap.

"Then we lie down on our mats and take a nap. "
That's priceless, thanks for the memories!
That sounds excellent.
wow...yogurt with peanut butter, never thought of it, now i am going eat it!
Ah, naps on a mat.
I've often thought of what this would taste like together but I thought it might be too hard to blend. I'll have to try it.
that picture has me sold!
Man, a nap sounds good right now. So does that yogurt!
Ooh, ooh, that sounds great. Here's a good one, too: thick yogurt, crumbled Kashi Cinnamon Harvest biscuits (5 or 6), a drizzle of honey and a pinch (really, not even a small handful) of chopped pecans. Can you hear me singing?!!
holy ma-jesus, that looks so good right now!
Oh, that does sound great! And I think you should make "Afternoon Snack" a regular feature. I am a big afternoon snacker, and always looking for interesting and healthier ideas... :)
I eat plain soy yogurt with peanut butter or another nut butter with bananas and wheat germ for crunch. Yum!
this is perfection :) some banana would be the only thing i would add. yum!
Just tried this - yum!
I agree with Brooklynnina about an afternoon snack feature.
yum- luckily I had everything on hand. great snack, and I definitely agree with ellenp1214 that banana would be a great addition.
I need to turn my husband on to this... He eats something we call "groundhog bait" that involves dry oats, peanut butter, butter, and lots of brown sugar or honey or sorghum. Adding yogurt to the mix sounds like a vast improvement to me.
Wow this looks delicious! I'm not a huge fan of plain yogurt, I wonder how it would taste minus the honey and subbing for strawberry yogurt... like a PB & J sandwich! Or I bet even vanilla would taste great with the peanut butter.
Made this for a post-workout snack (minus the graham crackers since I don't have any)-delicious! Thanks for the head's up:)
