Kirsten and Chris' Toronto home is a mix of old and new elements. The house itself is from the 1890s, and while some of the home's original details have been preserved, other areas, like the kitchen, have been modernized. The kitchen is all clean lines with open shelving, a recessed stovetop and prep area, two side-by-side fridges, a wall oven, and a custom designed (and unusual) chalkboard wall!
The family's chalkboard wall isn't your typical chalkboard wall; designed by a friend, it's really more of a "functional mural," as Kirsten says, and it's her favorite part of the home!
