There's no need to wing it when it comes to a first birthday celebration. (And yes, I realize these puns are already starting to get ridiculous!) Wynona Leach of Red Carousel styled this birdhouse-plus-garden party for a client (well, technically the client's 1-year-old daughter, Sanaa) and it's definitely an idea worth stealing.

Wynona decked out the space with pink and green balloons, paper pinwheels, and bunting made out of vintage fabric. And the dessert table couldn't have been any cuter, thanks to little Mason jars of pink lemonade and treats galore (pictured: cupcakes, macaroons, and chocolate mousse).

To bring home the aviary theme, she added birds to the super-adorable fondant cake and the thanks-for-coming cookie favors.

And because one favor didn't seem like enough, Wynona also put together tiny potted basil plants for guests to take. After all, it was a bird and garden party — both sides had to be represented in the guest appreciation!
