Right now there's a cupboard in my kitchen stuffed with reusable grocery totes and paper bags. Periodically I try to straighten everything, but the area inevitably gets messy again, with bags falling out and on me whenever I open the door.
I've never found a great way to store bags, but this solution from Everyday Organizing, which uses plastic file boxes hung on the wall as grocery bag bins, gives me hope. Isn't it clever?
Kristin of Everyday Organizing writes:
A while back, I repurposed plastic file boxes into wall-mounted bins to store our reusable grocery sacks and paper bags. I found the file boxes at The Container Store and simply drilled them into the wall. I love thinking up creative ways to use spaces that at first seem unusable, and this is one of my favorite projects to date. These boxes were inexpensive, easy to hang, and provide extra storage in a space that otherwise would have gone ignored.
Hang the boxes in an inconspicuous spot — a closet, for example, like Kristin did, or the inside of a cabinet door — to get all the benefits of extra storage without breaking your decorating flow!
