As the chill of autumn sinks in, we say goodbye to screened doors until next spring. Except for these screened doors, which are installed in the kitchen. They're pantry doors!
A screen lets you have a view to the pantry contents while also allowing air to circulate through the small storage space. A third perk of this great kitchen detail: it's an opportunity to introduce color (or material) as a highlight, as seen in all of the examples above!

meh...this is just a little too rustic for me.
I like these.
My pantry isn't tidy enough to have a screen door. I like being able to hide the disorganization behind a solid door.
I think this is a great idea and the first photo with the blue door is lovely...
I like it! Don't think i would like it to be so country looking, but that can be remedied with the right screen/glass enclosed door.
I've always liked this idea; my only concern would be keeping a super organized pantry.
Is that 3rd pic a POCKET screen door?
Great idea! I've been looking for a different sort of door for the pantry. This would fit with my old house so well.
Oh I think it's charming. Obviously not suitable for every kitchen, but what a pleasing touch of authentic country. After living on the gulf coast, I used to say I wanted an A/C vent into my pantry, but a screen door would work, too.
Oh that is adorable. Definitely agree with above commenter that it's most ideal for extremely tidy pantries.
I am in love with that first kitchen.
I love that blue door - but I would need to hang curtains in the windows of it. Cheerios boxes just aren't that charming.
