Are you planning anything red-white-and-blue for your 4th of July festivities next week? There are plenty of easy ways to do this: Layer strawberries and blueberries with whipped cream in glass cups, or make a classic flag cake. My favorite tri-color treat, though, has to be this cheesecake from Martha Stewart.
The pattern on this cheesecake is a more subtly-rendered flag design, with the fruit topping and enhancing the creamy, rich cheesecake. It's also designed to be served already cut-up — great for cook-outs and parties.

Oops! Fixed!
so cute! definitely trying this for independence day.
Very cute, but bear in mind anyone trying it that that's not normal powdered sugar on the strawberries. It's "non-melting" powdered sugar. Gotta get it at a specialty cake/pastry shop or online. It stays powdery bright white on moist things, like berries. Reg will work, but with time will melt.
