Scott, a real estate broker and design lover on the side, used his "curating and sourcing skills" to stage a 3-bedroom model unit on the ground floor of a new condo building in Long Island City, New York. He chose a more traditional style for the apartment, while the kitchen remains fairly modern, with shiny white cabinets. The standout element, though, is the wallpaper above the kitchen cabinets. It almost looks like a hand-painted mural!

I wouldn't have been drawn to a sofa that color, but the polka dot pillows really make it come to life.
Lovely furniture plus i think the large windows letting in so much natural light makes a huge difference.
Love the laquer cabinets and white fridge. Agree the wallpaper and polka dot pillows add some great style.
Are those wall kitchens functional? They seem to be in all the new apartments now and where I live most apartments are new. I just can't see myself really being able to cook in them. I don't really understand the point of having a full sized oven and four burners and then a tiny smidgen of bench space that barely holds completed prep let alone allows for prep to be done on it too.
The place looks lovely but small apartment kitchens are a pet hate of mine.
