A Lunch Bag with a Special Pocket

As we close out Lunch Week we had to point out these sweet lunch bags that just went up at the Food52 Shop. These waxed canvas bags have a special pocket -- want a closer look?

Each of these lunch bags, handmade by Peg and Awl in Philadelphia, has one little pocket for a handwritten note. Did your mom or dad ever slip a little note into your lunch bag?

It's a sweet treat to find something as simple as a smiley-face doodle in your lunch sack at any age, and we really like how there is a special pocket built right into these bags to help us remember to do just that.

This is a great bag! I've had one for about a month now. I wish I had waited and paid a little less for it at Food52. Its a great size and not "dorky" looking like lots of lunch bags.

I'm loving the waxed canvas thing. I recently bought a backpack from Etsy made of canvas treated with linseed oil and I get compliments on it all the time.
