A few years ago Apartment Therapy took a tour of a fantastic two-story apartment in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. The apartment building is actually one of those rare San Francisco structures that predates the 1906 earthquake and subsequent fire. Over the years it's been used as a boarding house and a single family home, but at the time of the tour three roommates were making use of its 4,000 square footage.
The kitchen is on the second floor and, thanks to all windows and open doorways, receives plenty of light. The whole tour is really a treasure, and because the home is so huge, it's in two parts!
