We are totally smitten with this kitchen, which is in a renovated pasta factory in Marseille, France. The whole gorgeous residence has been making the design blog rounds, but we were particularly taken by the kitchen (of course). How great would it be to cook in an old pasta factory?
This kitchen has a couple of good pointers for people renovating their own kitchens. We especially liked the cupboard covers, which appear to be made out of fine-gauge screen material, hooked on rings. They look like they can be easily swung up and out of the way, but they also seem to have buttons or snaps to hold them down. This is a totally new idea for cupboard coverings, at least to us, and we like how it covers the shelves without completely blocking them away from sight.
We also just love the colors in this kitchen. They are rich and deep and feel very grown-up, while still comfortable and warm.
