Debbie and Devin are both artists (photography, music) and their Humboldt Park, Chicago home has a modern farmhouse feel, distinctly inspired (as they say) by "Japanese slow life" or "clean, natural elements that allow decorative objects to exist in their fullness." The kitchen makes the most of its small footprint by relying on the natural beauty of wood and of a few special objects: a white enamel teapot, a wooden bowl full of fruit, and single plant to provide some greenery.
