Anne, a reader and blogger, just sent us a cute idea for a housewarming party: A cookie swap! Here's how she did it — complete with printables to download for your own party.
Anne and her husband threw themselves a housewarming party complete with carafes of milk, cookie dough dip, and slow cooker hot cocoa. (Smart to keep it warm in a slow cooker!)
I really like this idea — cookie exchanges are fun any time of year, not just at the holidays. It also relieves guests of the pressure to bring a housewarming gift, and to just offer up a batch of homemade cookies instead, which everyone can take home and enjoy.

That is an awesome idea for a housewarming party! I've done a pizza birthday party for our son where each kid created their own pizza: almost no work for mom and kids were absolutely thrilled. At the end, each took home one of these cute personalized pizza chef ornaments with their names on it on their gift bags:
