Kitchen cabinets can be expensive. Sometimes it pays to open your hunt to items that do the same thing without necessarily being labeled for the kitchen... They just might have a lower price tag even if they're higher in quality. For example, check out this kitchen that utilizes metal garage workbenches and shelving:
These cabinets' industrial purpose looks great in the home kitchen of the Gratz Industries blogger! A peg board backsplash on the workbench would normally hold workshop tools. Now, it's holding tools of another sort, a la Julia Child! Everything's heavy duty since it's built for heavy work, which means it'll hold up well to the demands of a kitchen. With its simple black color, we love the look and function of these no-nonsense garage items in the kitchen!
How about you? Do you like the look?

Love this! I love industrial kitchens and this is such a neat way to replicate it!
I like the idea but I'm not so sure about the end result. Plus, the orange walls gives me a harley-davidson vibe.. Not my thing I guess.
Love the kitchen. Industrial supplies are not always a cost-effective way to go. I saw a cool post with an industrial tool drawer in the kitchen. Goggled it, and the best price I found was around $1,000. Be creative when pursuing these great ideas.
ugh this gives me tremendous anxiety. If it were more nicely organized and perhaps painted a stark white I could get behind it but this looks like you're cooking in someone's garage, plain and simple
Not a fan... I prefer things a little more girly looking in the kitchen. A bit of Cath Kidston would look out of place here, I think!
with a different wall color and some closed storage (a standing toolbox for drawers of storage would be amazing!) i'm in.
I don't really care for this particular application, but I love some of the basic ideas. Workbench height industrial shelving as an island is JEENYOUS.
