While browsing for some cheery kitchen inspiration, I came across this little cottage kitchen in Santa Ynez, California. It's an absolute charmer!
The kitchen — and the corresponding 1,000 square foot cottage — belongs to Bonnie Forkner of the blog Going Home to Roost. Her Santa Ynez cottage is actually a converted barn that sits on a vineyard, complete with hay loft (which she and her husband now use as a sleeping loft for their guests). It even has lovely views of the Santa Ynez mountains.
The kitchen has a little cooking nook that holds the stove and half the countertop — a detail Bonnie says she initially found "a bit quirky" but has ended up loving, calling it "a really great way to work while in the kitchen. Everything is just where I need it!"
