How lovely would it be to cook in this kitchen, with the lake and a grove of pine trees out your window and plenty of light streaming through the skylights? Not to mention those beautiful deep-red cabinets and wood all around you: antique oak floors, recycled barn-board walls, pine ceiling planks. The owners say the house is "magic," and we believe it.

Can I move here? Please?? I'll go pack right now! This is gorgeous!!!
Wow those beams and the windows are amazing! I love the bold color of the cabinets too. I think this may be my favorite kitchen of all time.
It's not only beautiful, it's functional...
Amazing! I've never seen skylights like that.
what an astounding kitchen. i can't help but think how beautiful it would be when it rained. or at night with the stars. fantastic.
holy!! that is gorgeous!
Beautiful! Just glad I don't have to keep the glass clean or cobwebs off the beams! Fun of living in a woods.
My word
I'd cook three meals a day if I lived there! Can I steal this or would that be design plagiarism???
I don't know if there's an emoticon for total speechlessness but you can insert it right here. That kitchen is beyond gorgeous. I don't think I would ever leave my house if I lived in a place with skylights like that.
Don't look at the slideshow of the whole place in the linked article. You'll have heart palpitations of jealously like I am.
WOW
Akay, I didn't follow your advice and now my heart is indeed fluttering!
That kitchen is absolute perfection, and the rest of the house has amazing bones. Some of the furniture is not really my style, but still, wow!
Maine? Where the skylights will be covered in snow for a large portion of the year, and rain with wet leaves during the appropriately nicknamed Mud Season?
It is gorgeous, but it would make more sense in a more temperate climate with more snow free days of sunlight
Unbelievable. I would happily be up there cleaning the skylights off if they became covered in leaves. I live in Minnesota (lots of snow here, too), and we still have plenty of sunny days in the winter. Even on cloudy days, this would be light-filled and gorgeous.
This is a summer home, so I don't think snow was a concern
This kitchen made me forget everything I ever thought I wanted in my "dream kitchen" Totally unexpected and brilliant! I am in love.
I'm not a fan of red.
I'm not a fan of beams simply because of the dust it gathers.
I'm not a fan of black counter top....
BUT MAN OH MAN, does this work beautifully! Seriously took my breath away. Those windows, that view....sigh.
Want. Drool.
That is the most amazing kitchen I have ever seen.
