Last week we showed you a lunchbox that may lay claim to the title of "most elegant lunchbox ever." This week we have a bright, colorful tiffin that may be less elegant but is certainly more playful.
These tiffins are from the UK company Nkuku, and they are hand painted by Kashmiri artisans. These tiffins are on the larger side, and they would be great for picnics as well as ongoing storage in the kitchen. (Think bread, cake, cookies, chips.)
We just love the bright colors and whimsical design. These are available internationally from Nkuku — but we are still looking for a US distributor, since shipping from the UK is expensive.
Find them:
• Lolita Hand Painted Tiffin - Navy, £64.95 at Nkuku
• Lolita Hand Painted Tiffin - Cream, £64.95 at It Must Be Green

These tiffins are gorgeous! Now, if only a tiffin wallah would deliver one to me every day, filled with delicious and varied Indian foods . . . I can dream, right?

Ugh. I have been coveting these for months now, but I can't quite justify the expenditure.
So pretty...so spendy.
I saw a plastic of some sort version of this at Target earlier today, in the summer specials area. They're also bright colors and kind of look like a kid's toy.
I definitely like these more than the "elegant" one from last week. Especially the colorful one; it's on my wishlist (tagged "ifIwinthelottery", not on the short term/realistic one, regretfully...)
